Hand Washing

Hand washing stations supplied with single-use paper towels and antibacterial soap

Cleaning

Managers are to ensure that the necessary procedures are being adhered to and must carry out rigorous checks.

Social Distancing

Reduced restaurant capacity by 20%

Reducing the number of persons in any work area to comply with the 1 metre-plus guidance

Taking steps to review work schedules including start & finish times/shift patterns. Reduce hours when possible to avoid prolonged exposure.

Staff will be working side-to-side rather than face-to-face when possible

Smoking breaks will be one staff member at one time
Social Distancing Additional Controls

Staff to be reminded on a daily basis of the importance of social distancing, on and off site

Management checks are to take place to ensure this all policies are adhered to
Wearing of Gloves

Gloves will be provided for all staff but mandatory for staff members who prepare food and drink

In lieu of gloves, chefs will be using tongs that will be rotated and cleaned frequently throughout service

Staff will be instructed on how to remove gloves carefully to reduce contamination and how to dispose of them safely.
Wearing of Gloves Additional Controls

Staff to be reminded that wearing of gloves is not a substitute for good hand washing.
Personal Protective Equipment

All customer-facing staff will be wearing a mask when within a 1 metre distance from guests. For example: when hot stones are being handed out at the tables, or bussing of plates and glassware.
Table Service

Cutlery and plates will only be provided once guests have been seated

Laminated and wipeable menus will be provided. Our menus will be sanitised after every use.

Salt and pepper sachets will be provided upon request

Ramekins of sauce/oils/vinegars will be provided upon request

Dinner linens will be provided and stored away safely for cleaners to pick up weekly

Servers and Managers will be masked when they are less than a 1 metre distance from guests

Guides of new steps of service is provided in training manual

Retraining will be provided one week before service starts, however, a commitment will be made retrain as much as our staff needs to keep everyone safe.

Symptoms of Covid-19
-
If anyone becomes unwell with a new continuous cough or a high temperature in the workplace, they will be sent home and advised to follow the stay at home guidance. Communication lines will be kept open to further investigate the incident.

If advised that a member of staff or guest has developed Covid-19 and were recently attending our restaurant, the management team will use our reservation system to track and trace the guests involved.

Cross training has been provided for certain members of staff for contingencies for shift coverage.

Temperature checks will be logged at the start of every shift

Open non-judgemental communications for concerns, mental health, stress, anxiety, and fear are prevalent during this time to maintain our restaurant’s spirit.

All staff are retrained on changes and will be able to answer concerns and questions asked by our guests
